HCBL Earns USA Baseball Pitch Smart Recognition

The Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League has been recognized by USA Baseball as Fully Compliant with its Pitch Smart program for the 2026 season.

Pitch Smart is a joint initiative of USA Baseball and Major League Baseball designed to promote arm safety and responsible pitching practices for players at all levels of the game. The program provides guidelines for pitch counts, required rest, and long-term pitcher development, helping coaches and leagues protect athletes while supporting their growth on the field.

The HCBL’s Full Compliance designation reflects the league’s continued commitment to player safety, proper pitcher usage, and best practices in collegiate summer baseball.

“Protecting our players has always been a top priority for the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League,” said HCBL Commissioner Henry Bramwell. “Earning full compliance from USA Baseball reinforces the work our coaches and teams do each season to manage pitchers responsibly and put player development first.”
