The Westhampton Aviators visited students at Remsenburg-Speonk Elementary School on June 17 for a conversation about baseball, college life and the importance of being a scholar-athlete.

Aviators pitching coach Sam Unger and Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League President Sandi Kruel accompanied the players, who introduced themselves and spoke about balancing academics and athletics. They also shared their favorite parts of the college experience and what they enjoy most about playing baseball.

Students and faculty had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the players’ journeys to collegiate baseball.

The Aviators also invited students to attend a free youth baseball clinic on Saturday, June 20, at the Hampton West Complex, where participants can meet the team, work on their baseball skills, and enjoy a morning on the field.
