Opening Day Arrives for the HCBL

The wait is over. Opening Day has arrived for the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, bringing summer baseball back to the East End.

All six HCBL teams are in action today as the 2026 season begins with a full slate of 5:00 PM games. The Southampton Breakers visit the Sag Harbor Whalers, the Westhampton Aviators take on the Riverhead Tomcats, and the Shelter Island Bucks face the North Fork Ospreys.

The HCBL once again brings high-level collegiate baseball to one of the most unique summer settings in the country. Each team carries its own identity, local pride, and ballpark atmosphere, giving fans a chance to enjoy competitive baseball in a true summer baseball environment.

Fans are encouraged to come out, support their local teams, and help welcome another season of HCBL baseball.
